Delete your account
You can delete your darji account whenever you like. It's immediate, and nothing can be recovered afterwards.
How
- In the app or on the website: sign in, open the Me tab (your profile), and at the bottom, “Delete my account”.
- Or by email: write to us at hello@darji.ma from your account's address, and we delete it for you.
If you have a Pro subscription that renews, cancel it first (“Manage my subscription”, on the same page): deleting your account doesn't stop it.
What is deleted, right away
- your account: your email, your name, your password, your Google sign-in
- your progress: lessons, streak, XP, your answers from the start
- your words and your reviews
- your recordings
- your certificates, and their links stop working
- your darji subscription: any Pro you had left ends
- your reminders on your devices
- your Love Letter subscription, if it uses the same address
- your email address in our sending logs and on the gifts you redeemed
What stays, without your account, and for how long
- your payments (amount and date), for our accounts, without your name or email: as long as accounting and tax rules require (up to 10 years). Paddle, who sells darji Pro, keeps its own invoices under its own rules.
- the gifts you gave: they stay valid for the person you gave them to, and count as payments (up to 10 years)
- what you reported or asked Wissal for (a word, a mistake), without your name: at most 3 years
- messages written with “Write to Wissal”: they stay in our feedback inbox without your name, but they also reached us by email with your name and address, and those emails stay in our mailbox: at most 3 years
- usage statistics (pages viewed, taps) in our analytics tool, tied to an internal number: at most 7 years
- a line in our log saying that an account was deleted, without your email or name: at most 3 years
