Business terms

Last updated: October 2026

darji is operated by Nicolas David, trading as darji ("darji", "we", "us"). These business terms apply when a company, school or other organisation ("the company", "you") buys darji seats for its people. Together with each order, they are the agreement between you and us.

Each person who uses a seat also uses darji under our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1. The order

We agree each order with you by e-mail, at hello@darji.ma. An order states:

  • the company's legal name, its billing address and its VAT number, if it has one;
  • your purchase order number, if you use them;
  • whether it is the pilot or a year of seats, the number of seats, the price per seat and the start date;
  • the name and e-mail address of the company's admin, who manages the team page.

An order is confirmed when Paddle issues its invoice.

2. Seats

A seat is a year of darji Pro for one person you invite by e-mail: someone who works for you, a member of their family, or someone you relocate or send to study in Morocco. darji is not made for children under 13.

A seat is for one person at a time. When someone leaves, you remove them on your team page and invite someone else in their place, at no cost; the seat keeps its end date.

Pro opens darji's lessons as they come out, the full Dictionary with its voices, and speaking out loud and reviews with no limit. We don't promise a date for a lesson that isn't out yet.

Each person who accepts an invitation uses darji with their own account. When their seat ends or you remove them, their Pro ends; their account and their progress stay theirs.

3. The pilot

Every company starts with a pilot: 20 seats for 8 weeks, for €500. It is invoiced when it starts and paid like a year of seats (section 5).

If you order a year of seats by the end of the pilot, its €500 is deducted from that first year's invoice. If you don't, the pilot's seats end with it and nothing more is due.

4. Prices

A seat costs, for a year: €99 from 10 seats, €94 from 50 seats, €89 from 100 seats. Every seat of an order is at the price for its total number of seats. Below 10 people, each person can take darji Pro on their own, at the prices on our Pricing page.

Prices are in euros, before VAT or any other sales tax. An order's price per seat doesn't change during its year; a renewal is at the prices shown on our Teams page on the renewal date.

5. Invoice and payment

Paddle sells the seats to you as seller of record (merchant of record): it issues the invoice, collects the payment and handles VAT, under Paddle's own terms for buyers. These business terms cover the seats themselves and how we provide them.

Each order has one Paddle invoice, in euros, with your purchase order number and VAT number on it. You pay it by bank transfer within 30 days of its date, or by card.

If your company is in the European Union and gives a valid VAT number, no VAT is charged: it is reverse-charged. Elsewhere, Paddle adds the tax that applies.

If an invoice is still unpaid after its due date, we may suspend the seats it covers after telling your admin by e-mail. They open again once it is paid.

6. Term and renewal

A year of seats runs for twelve months from its start date. At the end, it renews for another year, with a new Paddle invoice, unless you tell us by e-mail before the renewal date that you don't want it to. We may also choose not to renew, by telling your admin before that date.

The pilot doesn't renew: it ends after its weeks, or becomes a year of seats (section 3).

7. Changing seats

You can add or remove seats during the year by writing to us. Paddle prorates the change for the time left until the year's end.

Moving a seat from one person to another costs nothing.

8. What we provide

With every order:

  • the team page in darji, where your admin sees the seats used, invites people by e-mail, removes them, and downloads a CSV report of each person's last activity, lessons done, stage, words kept and certificates;
  • support by e-mail, at hello@darji.ma;
  • a progress report every month.

We keep darji running and fix what goes wrong as fast as we can. We don't promise that it will never be interrupted.

9. Your part

  • You invite only people you may invite, and before you do, you tell them what you will see of their progress (section 4 of the DPA).
  • Your admins keep their access to themselves.
  • Seats are for your people: you don't resell them.

10. Personal data

For the personal data we process to provide the seats and to report to you, you are the controller and we are your processor, under our Data Processing Agreement, which is part of these terms. How we protect data is on our Security page.

11. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.

Otherwise, each party's total liability under these terms and the DPA, for all claims together, is limited to the fees you paid for darji in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim. Neither party is liable to the other for indirect loss, such as lost profit or lost business.

12. Ending an order

Either party may end an order at once if the other seriously breaches these terms and doesn't put it right after being told in writing. When an order ends, its seats end. What happens to the data then is in the DPA.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force when an order is confirmed applies until that order ends; a renewal is under the version in force on its date. We tell your admin by e-mail of any change that matters.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable where darji's operator, Nicolas David, is established. Any disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
